Situated on the sheltered north west coast of Mauritius, the Trou aux Biches Resort stretches along two kilometres of white sand beach and overlooks a tranquil and pristine lagoon. The unique bungalows with thatch and shingled roofs are scattered throughout 40 hectares of tropical gardens to create an ambience of tropical tranquillity.
Trou aux Biches is also recognised as one of the most romantic resorts in Mauritius. It is extremely popular for weddings and honeymoons and is an ideal choice for anniversaries or that special occasion. This is evident by the number of repeat clientele who continually return to enjoy the warm Mauritian welcome of the Trou aux Biches. Impeccable service, outstanding cuisine and excellent sports facilities complement the relaxed Mauritian village style atmosphere of this tropical hideaway.

Guestrooms & Suites : Trou aux Biches offers 197 guestrooms, family apartments and suites. The rooms are well appointed with refined décor in natural earthy tones and include a variety of accommodation options. All bungalows face the sea with some located right on the beachfront and others set back within the privacy of the tropical gardens.
All guestrooms, family apartments and suites are equipped with private balcony or terrace, individually controlled air conditioning, television with video channel and radio, international direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, minibar, safe and private bathroom with shower, bath and separate toilett and hairdryer. Each chalet is divided into 3 or 4 rooms with a terrace or balcony for views through the gardens over the ocean. Views vary depending on the location of the rooms.

• The Standard Rooms are scattered throughout the bungalow chalets and are approximately 30 squaremetres with private terrace or balcony. They are spacious and attractively furnished with natural earthy tones. The bathrooms of the standard rooms have a shower/bath and rooms are positioned on both ground and first floor. A supplement is required for beachfront rooms. Maximum occupancy 3 adults.
• The larger Superior Rooms have a size of approximately 38 squaremetres and they are well situated at ground and first floor level within the chalet bungalows in a variety of garden or beachfront locations. The large bathrooms include a separate shower, bath and toilet while the spacious bedroom and lounge areas are elegantly furnished. A supplement is required for beachfront rooms. Maximum occupancy 3 adults.
• The large Family Apartments are located on the ground floor and comprise a large superior room and a smaller standard room, each with their own en-suite bathroom facilities and a television in each room. They are approximately 75 squaremetres and decorated in tropical colours. The children’s room also has a separate entrance at the rear of the chalet, which has been designed for a nanny or babysitter to enter without disturbing the parent’s. The large apartments can accommodate a two adults and up to four children.
• The three exclusive and extremely spacious Suites of approximately 110 squaremetres, are located right on the beach and resemble double storey apartments. The downstairs area comprises a large lounge and dining area with an adjacent kitchenette and separate toilet. Upstairs is the spacious bedroom with high ceilings and a beautifully appointed bathroom with separate shower. The large balconies and terraces located within metres of the beach are the perfect setting for al fresco dining. Each Suite is assigned a valet to cater for guests service requirements. Suites also connect to a standard room to cater for larger families. Maximum occupancy 2 adults and 1 child.

Cuisine & Cocktails : As the pleasures of the table are an important component of hospitality, relish the refined and varied cuisine of the Trou aux Biches, a remarkable blend of fresh and exotic ingredients which will undoubtedly entice any gourmet.

• La Caravelle Restaurant is located on the waters edge offering views of the lagoon and the endless horizon. It isall day and serves hot and cold buffet breakfast, à la carte lunch, and in the evening, a variety of themed buffets and the occasional set menu. La Caravelle restaurant explores the cuisines of the world, showcased buffet style, on special theme evenings. Featured at the restaurant are "Live cooking" exhibitions creating amazing interaction with guests and unveil a whole new world of exciting culinary discoveries from a variety of menus taken from around the world. The tentative exotic tastes of local cuisine are also prepared live revealing flavours and colours to delight one’s eyes and palate. In addition, a special Bob Marlin Miniclub Restaurant seating 60 children, has been created within La Caravelle Restaurant; offering a special buffet with its own cuisine and furniture especially adapted to the needs of the young guests.
• Facing the sea, L'Oasis Restaurant consists of a central thatched bar area with tables set up on the terrace. This poolside restaurant is a favourite with guest. It has anair setting under a thatch roof and offers meals throughout the day with pancakes being a favourite. It isfor breakfast, lunch and dinner. During the day it is the centre of activity while in the evening it transforms to a more refined, romantic setting with candlelit dinners and fine dining. A la carte and set menus are proposed for dinner.
• The new beach restaurant L'Espadon offers a stunning view over the sea and serves a light cuisine, based on traditional island specialities including fresh grilled seafood in an authentic tropical seaside ambience. L'Espadon isfor lunch and dinner.
• The Trou aux Biches also offer three bars, the L'Oasis Ber, La Caravelle Bar and the Golf Bar.
  The L’Oasis Bar has one of the most stunning locations where guests can enjoy an exotic cocktail or coffee right on the water’s edge.
  The Caravelle Bar adjoins the restaurant and well positioned near the entertainment area, which is the hub of evening activity at the hotel.

Trou aux Biches guests have access to the Health & Wellness centre located at the hotel. This centre includes massage rooms, hairdresser and beautician.
Guests of Trou aux Biches are invited to use the 9 hole golf facilities at the hotel or the spectacular 18 hole championship course at the Paradis hotel (approximately 1hour 15minutes drive).
Trou aux Biches hotel offers a free Bob Marlin Mini Club for children 3-12 years. For those under 3 years, baby sitting services are available.
