The Beachcomber Shandrani Hotel is located on a sheltered peninsula on the historical south coast overlooking the beautiful Blue Bay and surrounded by luxuriant botanical gardens. The Shandrani Resort is a large resort which exuding elegance in relaxed, comfortable surrounds. The architectures use of thatch, wood and stone has blended the resort in with the natural environment and complements the mix of beautifully appointed rooms, variety of beaches, dining opportunities and excellent sports facilities.
Its proximity to the airport is a blessing as guests can generally be at the Shandrani within 15 minutes of arriving through customs avoiding any long transfer. Flights are relatively infrequent but departing aircraft can be seen and heard briefly when climbing over the bay.

Guestrooms & Suites : The Hotel Shandrani offers 327 guestroom, apartments and suites and all rooms are sea facing. The sumptuous accommodations reflect the exquisite scenery. Each interior features delicately sculpted woodwork and restful colours, creating a peaceful, spacious ambience.
All the guestrooms, apartments and suites are equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, television with video channel and radio, international direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, minibar, safe and private bathroom with bath, shower, separate toilet and hairdryer.
- The Superior Rooms are designed in anplan style and have a split-level room with sunken floor for the bedroom and sitting area and a step up to the bathroom. They are approximately 50 squaremetres and have a terrace or balcony that face the sea. Superior rooms are situated on ground, first and second floor levels. Maximum occupancy 3 adults.
- The beautifully appointed Deluxe Rooms overlook Blue Bay and have a fresh modern designed with an elegant tropical décor. Deluxe Rooms are approximately 56 squaremetres and have a large bedroom with lounge area, dressing room, terrace or balcony. These rooms are great option for families as they can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children. Maximum occupancy 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
- As the name says, the Family Rooms are designed for families and are similar in design to the Superior rooms with a sunken floor for the bedroom and sitting area and additional terrace area which can be partitioned to separate the children from adults. Family rooms are approximately 70 squaremetres and can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children providing excellent value for the family.
- The Family Apartments have a size of approximately 78 squaremetres with a separate room for the adults and children. Similar in design to the modern deluxe rooms, they feature two rooms both with television and en-suite bathroom, dressing area with walk-in storage plus a large terrace overlooking the lagoon. The children's bedroom is smaller and includes bunk beds plus a stowaway bed. Maximum occupancy 2 adults and up to 3 children.
- The two Senior Suites, with their own private section of beach, have a size of 110 squaremteres and offer a true touch of luxury in the tropics. The senior suites are located on the first floor and have direct access to the beach via a private staircase. They include a large bedroom and lounge room, a spacious and elegant bathroom from where you can view the sea plus a large balcony with stunning views over Blue Bay. Maximum occupancy 2 adults and 1 child.
- The Presidential Suites offer the ultimate luxury and overlook the Blue Bay lagoon. These two beautifully appointed suites offer over 206 squaremetres of absolute luxury! They feature two floors with a well furnished downstairs lounge and dining room, two king size bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, guest toilet, a large terrace plus a private balcony from the master bedroom. Maximum occupancy 2 adults and up to 3 children.

Cuisine & Cocktails : Offering a change of scenery to its visitors whilst allowing them to discover its fine cuisine, Shandrani has varied the atmosphere and style of its four restaurants. Menus list a delicious mix of French, Italian and Creole flavours.
- The main restaurant Le Grand Port is set on a wide,terrace with views of the lagoon and swimming pool. It isfor breakfast and dinner with a full hot and cold buffet breakfast served daily. Le Grand ort offers buffets based on influences of the various cuisines that can be found in Mauritius, from oriental spices to creole cuisine through African and Mediterranean flavours.
- The beautiful restaurant Le Sirius is located around the swimming pool at the tip of the peninsula facing Blue Bay. It isfor breakfast, lunch and dinner and it's slightly elevated position provides magical views of Blue Bay and Ile aux Deux Cocos. Le Sirius offers light tropical cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.
- The small restaurant Le Boucanier is located in the gardens of the hotel and serves seafood specialties in a rustic décor. It isfor dinner only and proposes a variety of delightful a la carte meals. Special seafood nights such as crab or lobster nights may be proposed to guests at a supplement to their meal plan.
- The stunningair restaurant Le Porto Vecchio overlooks the lagoon, pool and Blue Bay Bar. Delightful Italian and Mediterranean cuisine is served with both a set menu of the day and a la carte specialties proposed. Le Porto Vecchio isfor lunch and dinner and is a favourite among guests.
- Le Sirius Bar is a great place to relax and sip cocktails or enjoy a cold beer by the pool overlooking Blue Bay.
- The popular Blue Bay Bar overlooks the main pool area and is the hub of entertainment during the day and evening. Pancakes and pastries are served in the afternoon while evenings often have a special theme or beverage of the night.
- The Shandrani offers an all-inclusive option to guests called Serenity. This 5 star package differ from most all inclusive packages as guests have access to a fantastic range of beverages including a range of imported spirits, bottled wines plus a choice of menus and snacks.

Leisure & Wellness : Guests of Shandrani Hotel are invited to participate in the unique and exclusive Beachcomber Sport & Nature program, which starts from the Shandrani hotel. This activity is available to all Beachcomber guests. A charge is required for the various options.
Guests of Shandrani can participate in the unique and certified Shandrani Sailing School program absolutely free. The course is designed to teach guests the necessary skills required for the various sailing craft and the course is fully certified. Guests receive an internationally recognised certificate after successful completion of the course.
Shandrani guests have access to Le Source Health & Wellness centre located at the hotel. This centre includes sauna, hammam, massage rooms, hairdresser and beautician. Shandrani Hotel offers waterskiing, windsurfing, kayaks, sailing, pedalos, snorkelling, glass bottom boat trips, table tennis, gymnasium and tennis (6 floodlit courts). Additional activities are available at an extra charge including mountain bikes, big game fishing, catamaran cruises, scuba diving and undersea walks.
Guests of Shandrani are invited to use the chip and putt 9 hole course at the hotel or the spectacular 18 hole championship course at the Paradis Hotel (approximately 1hr 10mins drive).
Shandrani hotel offers a free Bob Marlin Mini Club for children 3-12 years. For those under 3 years, baby sitting services are available.
