Accommodation Features : The Table Bay Hotel has a total of 329 rooms which include standard rooms, paraplegic rooms, luxury rooms and suites. There are 13 standard suites, 2 Executive Suites, 1 Superior Suite and 2 Presidential suites. The designer decorated rooms are welcoming and inviting, representing the epitome of luxury and supreme comfort. All rooms have a spectacular view of both Table Mountain and the harbour or the Atlantic Ocean and Robben Island. The rooms all feature luxurious walk-in cupboards and marble finishes, armoires and writing desks and each is equipped with a butler station, colour satellite television, radio, en-suite bathrooms with separate showers, marble vanity units with hairdryer and Mediterranean-style bathrobes and slippers. Telephones are provided in bathrooms, at bedsides and on each writing desk. Each has a voice-mail facility and a wake-up call facility. Biz-Comm centres are provided in all rooms, allowing users to phone, fax, e-mail, copy, print and store messages, on a private number, accessible only to the individual guest, ensuring confidentiality. The centre also has ports to allow connection of laptop computers.
Dining : The Atlantic Grill is decorated in a Cape winelands theme with large murals and thick-pile carpets, this dignified restaurant overlooks Table Mountain and the inner harbour. Serving à la carte dinners featuring an international menu, The Atlantic Grill has an astonishing 6000-bottleface cellar stocking the finest wines and Champagnes. There is also a cigar humidor with an extensive selection, stored under optimum conditions. The Conservatory and Bar is a favoured gathering place for business people during the day and after work for cocktails and conversation, and the adjoining Conservatory is an informal restaurant serving delicious à la carte meals, coffees and salads all day. There is jazz in the evenings. The Pool Bar serves drinks, snacks and health foods on the decking around the pool which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and is heated for year-round enjoyment.
And slightly sunken, below the foyer, the refined atmosphere of the gracious rooms of The Lounge/Patio provide the perfect setting for the most civilised ritual of afternoon Grand Tea.
