… district and only few minutes away from the opera, theaters and museums.
It is difficult to ignore them: Frankfurt's the high-rise buildings soar up into the sky from the city centre. Having been controversial for a long time, today this skyline is regarded as symbolic of the city's dynamism. Frankfurt, one of the first financial centres in Europe and since 1998 headquarters of the European Central Bank, has the flair of a manageable mini-metropolis. Apfelwein and sushi, skyscrapers and half-timber houses: Frankfurt is full of contrasts and in its own fascinating way blends the modern and the traditional, the urban and the rustic. Palm trees along the river Main, grass and bridges, views and promenades: Frankfurt is situated on a river, and the banks of the river Main have a lot to offer. Intellect and money - that need not necessarily be a contradiction in Frankfurt. After all, the tradition of the Book Fair has managed to bridge the gap between culture and capital. The visitor to Frankfurt cannot fail to meet up with him in some form or other: Privy Councillor Goethe, Frankfurt's most famous former citizen.
Hotel Hessischer Hof, located in the centre of Frankfurt am Main, is just opposite the main entrance to the fairgrounds and only a few minutes away from the opera, theatres and museums, is a peaceful oasis of luxury and relaxation within the city of high finance and business and the forward looking skyline. This traditional-style hotel is appointed with period furniture and antiques, yet features the amenities required by today's sophisticated traveller and provides not only a traditional luxurious ambience with precious antiques and valuable art, but also the highest standard when it comes to service.
