The Sherbrooke Castle Hotel is a magnificent baronial building crafted in rich red sandstone and set in picturesque landscaped gardens. John Morrison built the Sherbrooke Castle in 1896 as his own home and now the hotel combines traditional grandeur with 21st century efficiency. The architectural style can be said to reflect the decadence of the middle class during the late Victorian period, with hint of the Romantic era thrown in for good measure.
During the Second World War, the castle was used as offices by Royal Navy.
