When built in 1924 by former Caledonian Railway Company, with its own railway station, Gleneagles Hotel was was described as "the 8th wonder of the world" and today with its three superb championship golf courses, this statement still rings true Gleneagles' position in the heart of Scotland makes it a marvellous location from which to explore Scotland's finest courses and countryside. The guests always comment on the warmth and friendliness of the hotel and its service. Guestrooms & Suites : The Gleneagles Hotel boasts 270 luxurious en-suite guestrooms, including 14 exclusively decorated suites of an average size of 83 sqms. Each bedroom provides the very best facilities aund guests enjoy the finest comforts and the ulitimate in relaxation. All bedrooms and suites are individually furnished and offer en-suite bathrooms, satellite television and minibar. Cuisine & Cocktails : The taste of Scotland is always to be enjoyed at Gleneagles, from morning kippers or a fresh egg from a nearby farmhouse, scones and cream or Dundee cake for afternoon tea in The Bar to Angus beef, Tay salmon, venison or Highland grouse for dinner. You can enjoy fine cuisine and great vintage wines at one of the four restaurants or eat simple salads or lighter meals at one of the bars. The Strathearn Restaurant is a award winning restaurant with magnificent views across the estate. The service is stylish and the food is from classical era. Andrews Fairlie at Gleneagles is a Michelin-starred restaurant, the cuisine is unashamedly French but with a Scottish twist. The Club Restaurant has established itself as the alternative for breakfast, lunch and dinner with pizzas, steag grills and trendy salads and authentic Italian pastas. The style of the Dormy Clubhouse is informal and relaxed.
The resort has a selection of bars, where guests can relax and enjoy an extensive range of malt whiskies and other beverages.

Man's Best Friend at The Gleneagles Hotel

The Gleneagles Hotel is delighted to offer guests "Doggy Packs" bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase 'pampered pooches'.
Dogs have always been welcomed at Gleneagles. Now, however, you can hire the packs and indulge your pet in the last word in canine creature comforts.

When you make your initial booking and confirm your dog is coming you will be offered the pack. The cost of GBP 15 per night for your dog's stay, includes a placemat and bowl for food and water. Deluxe duvet beds are also part of the pack and are available in two sizes, large and small, so owners can let their sleeping dogs lie.
The owners aren't forgotten, in the pack they get their very own 'poop-scoop' bags complete with handle to ensure that man's best friend stays that way for other guests and Gleneagles grounds remain unsullied.
