Dining: The excellent Restaurant "Le Syrene" is run by the same family owners of the Hotel. It serves Mediterranean and international cuisine using fresh regional produce and seafood. For light snacks there are also a snack bar set in the beautiful lemon tree garden and a café. For your apéritif or your after dinner drink there is the nice hotel bar and after a long day's hustle and bustle the more energetic guests may visit the nightclub.
Sports and Wellness: Hotel Syrene offers a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, massages room and solarium set in the lovely lemon grove. At nearby Capri Sporting Club there are available tennis courts.
Within 10 minutes by funicular (cable-car) you'll reach Marina Grande - This is the most frequently used port on the island, and is also a noted beach and swimming spot. The town extending along the little port is set at the centre of a broad inlet overlooking the Gulf of Naples, at the western edge of which extends the beach, while just a bit further along you can see the ruins of the so-called "Palazzo a Mare" probably Augustus's favorite residence on the island, stripped during excavations done at the end of the 18th century.
After a short bus ride you'll reach the famous Axel Munthe Villa and Marina Piccola - This is a beach resort, as well as the island's southern landing point. The port of Marina Piccola is a point of departure for interesting excursions to the Grotta Verde, the Faraglioni and the other marine grottoes of the southern side of the island.
