The Grand Hotel Miramare is located in Santa Margherita Ligure between Rapallo and Portofino. The town of Rapallo has ancient origins. The first news about it can be dated back to 1240. In that period Rapallo was a Medieval village surrounded by town walls with five gates. Today Rapallo is an important seaside resort and has some small shipyards and maritime engines factories.
