And when you catch your breath, the scent of myriad flowers fresh on the breeze will amaze you. Such is the home of the Grand Hotel Majestic basking in a benign micro climate unique to the area. The hotel was built in 1870 in the idiom of Belle Epoque and designed to do justice to that mesmerising panorama. Almost every room, every terrace and balcony, the American Bar, the restaurant, the pool and the perfect English garden gets a view of the water. As you enter the lobby, there it is again framed in giant picture windows! You reach the recently renovated, lavishly furnished bedrooms via balconies that rise up from the foyer tier upon tier of colonnades. Some place! Some palace!
Guestrooms & Suites : Grand Hotel Majestic offers 90 rooms and 10 junior suites situated on 5 floors and there are also 4 rooms designed for disabled guests. All rooms and suites are offering the same amenities as air conditioning / balcony / bathrobe / bidet / cable/satellite tv / color tv / hairdryer / mini bar / radio / safe / shower / smoke detector and stereo system, the main difference between the room categories is the view (lake view, side lake view and garden view, the last one is available as a little bit smaller standard or as a little bit more spacious superior guestroom).
Kindly note: max.occupancy in all guestrooms is two guests, only in junior suites 1 (one) rollaway for a third guest is possible.
Standard Room / Garden View : Rooms are tastefully decorated in classical style and comfortably appointed. Rich fabrics and original prints complete the refined decor. All in-room amenities are included they have bathrooms with showers. Size: 15 square metres.
Standard Room / Side Lake View : A little bit larger than the previous(17 smqs) these rooms offer side view of Lake Maggiore.
Superior Room / Garden View : Again a bit more spacious (18sqms) the superiors boast marble en-suites facilities with shower.
Superior Room / Lake View : Offering approx 18sqms in size these rooms offer panoramic lake view and some of them also boast marble bathrooms with a bathtub but at least of course with shower.
Executive Junior Suite / Lake View : Spacious sunny rooms, tastefully and elegantly decorated in classical style. Very comfortably appointed. Rich fabrics and original prints completed the refined decor. All in-room amenities are included. All have marble bathrooms, most with two sinks. Some have separate showers stalls/bath tubs, others have Jacuzzi tubs. Some rooms even have two bathrooms and all of them have walk-in closets. The corner suites enjoy both front and side lake views. Size: 32 square metres.
Cuisine & Cocktails : »La Beola« is an elegant restaurant boasting refined ambience with panoramic windows overlooking flower-scented gardens, the magical lake and nearby Borromee Islands. The restaurant of Grand Hotel Majestic was recently renovated to the highest standards of quality and features succulent local specialities with an innovative twist, together with the finest traditional Italian dishes complimented by an excellent wine-cellar.
»La Terrazza Snack Bar« - Light, informal yet appetising lunches and snacks are served on this spacious, flower-filled terrace with its sweeping views of the lake and Borromee Islands.
»Bar Toscanini« - Sits about 30 people in the immediate bar - however, guests can also enjoy the beautiful outside terrace and adjoining gracious public rooms. Chic, intimate bar offering great cocktails, atmosphere, live music and incomparable views.
The Pool Bar - Pool side menu and bar service served around the pool or in the nearby flowered gardens, which run down to the waterfront.
Leisure & Wellness : On site there are an inside pool, a private beach and tennis courts. Only moments away from the town of Pallanza, one of the two flower capitals of the lake, the Hotel lies in an oasis of peace and calm, yet its privileged location also permits easy access, by car or boat, to an exciting array of activities. History, art, music, nature, and sports - Lake Maggiore has it all!
