The Valpolicella wine region, located directly north of Verona, is a place of many contrasts. There is no signposted wineroad in this region like in the neighbouring Bardolino wine region or in other Italian wine regions like Chianti Classico in Tuscany. Despite the lack of signs, however, Valpolicella has many wineries that are regularlyfor tasting and buying wine, and that have some of the friendliest, most welcoming people in all of Italy.
And Verona is not fare. Quite probably one of Europe's most beautiful historic cities, opportunities for sightseeing abound in Verona. The world-famous, almost perfectly preserved Arena di Verona is the 3rd largest Roman Amphitheatre and hosts the annual Lyric Opera Festival. There is a famousair market every day on Piazza delle Erbe, while a few steps away, the Romeo and Juliet balcony should not to be missed.
The elegant Renaissance Villa del Quar, has been tranformed into a luxuriously and elegantly decorated hotel. Guestrooms & Suites : The 28 elegant and luxurious guestrooms, junior suites and suites of the Villa del Quar are decorated with oak beams and antique furniture in neoclassical style and all rooms have magnificent view of the beautiful gardens.
All guestrooms, junior suites and suites are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, minibar, safe and bathroom with bathtub and/or shower.
- The Small Double Rooms are equipped with a shower and they offer garden view.
- The Standard Double Rooms are equipped either with one double bed or two twin size beds and they boast garden view. The bathrooms of these rooms offer a shower, some with bathtub.
- The Superior Double Rooms are equipped either with one double bed or two twin-size beds and they offer garden view.
- The Junior Suites are equipped with one double bed and they offer a sitting area and garden view.
- The Suites consist of a bedroom with one king-size bed and a separate living area. These suites boast view of the outdoor swimming pool, the gardens and the vineyards.
The new sumptuous junior suites and suites are located in the main villa and they are elegantly decorated in Neoclassical style with wardrobes concleaded by antique doors and with elegant parquet floors designed in a Venetian decor.
- The Suite Medusa is located on the ground floor of the villa and decorated with friezes in the style of Louis XVI and with Italian furnishings. This elegant suite is equipped with original wooden beams from the eighteenth century and a imposant marble fireplace. The Suite Medusa features precious damask fabrics and luxurious drapes and it offers two gardens and two bathrooms tiled with yellow Veronese marble and the mirrors offers mosaics in Roman style designed by a cragtman of the region. The shower in the master bathroom is placed in an original old fireplace and the ceiling is decorated with a rose in pink Murano glass.
- The Junior Suite Chiocciola is situated on the ground floor of the villa and the entrance door is a original Veronese lacqued door from the eighteen century and the interior door are also original from the eighteen-century. This Junior suite is decorated with an Impire canopy bed, a chest of drawers and large mirror and offers a small terrace. The marble bathroom is decorated with mosaic-frames.
- The Junior Suite Melograno is decorated with an antique frieze from the eighteenth century above the bed. The lampshades with floral motifs and the chest of drawers date from the same period.
- The elegant Suite Impero Beds is furnished with a beautiful spacious bed in E,pire style carved gilded feet. The ounge area is equipped with a sofa from the same period. The bathtub is located in a large niche in the bathroom.
- The Uva Suite is situated on the top floor of the villa. The living room of this suite offers a chest of drawers from the seventeenth century and and a gilded frieze from the eighteenth century is the bedhead. This elegant suite is decorated with rich damask fabrics and soft shades in yellow, beige and red and offers a desk in the Empire style. This suite is equipped with two bathrooms and the master bathroom offers a bathtub and separate shower .
- The elegantly decorated Suite Pool View offers large windows with views of the beautiful lush gardens, the outdoor swimming pool and the vineyards of the Villa del Quar. This suite consists of a large living room, a bedroom and two bathrooms. The doors are oruginal Louis XVI style and this suite is decorated with Murano glass chandeliers and precious fabrics. The bedroom is equipped with a king-size bed and a writing desk in the style of Louis XVI. The green marble bathroom offers mosaic-framed mirrors.
