In recent years, the 19-story building of the hotel has been gloriously restored and subtly modernized to offer travelers the utmost in comfort and luxury.
Guestrooms & Suites : The magnificent 805 superb guestrooms and suites of "The Plaza New York" overlook either Central Park or Fifth Avenue or in a quiet location with view of the inner courtyard. Fine period details include crystal chandeliers and non-working marble fireplaces, which accent the grandeur of this marvelous hotel. All guestrooms and suites are equipped with crystal chandelier, direct dial telepfone with voicemail, high speed wireless internet service, computer dataport, large writing desk, colour TV, alarm clock radio, iron and ironing board, minibar, in-room safe and batroom with bathtub/shower, bathrobe, hairdryer and toiletries.
- The Standard Rooms have a size of approximately 21 squaremetres and are ideal for single travelers. These rooms offer a queen bed and a large writing desk with high speed internet access and in-room fax machine and they have inner court view.
- The Fairmont Rooms have a size of approximately 27 squaremetres and they are located throughout the hotel with view of the inner court or the city. These rooms offer a king bed or two double beds and in addition to common amenities, they have a lounge table with two chairs.
- The Fairmont Deluxe Rooms have a size of approximately 33 squaremetres and are a more spacious version of Fairmont Rooms. These rooms have inner court view or city view and offer a king bed or two double beds.
- The Central Park Premier Rooms are largeconcept rooms with a cosy sitting area that features a lounge table with two chairs and a beautiful view of Central Park. These rooms have a size of aopproximately 37 squaremetres and offer a king bed or two double beds.
- The Executive Suites are ideal for families of up to three people. Based on a largeconcept style, these suites feature a lounging area with armchairs, sofa and coffee table. These suites, with inner courtyard view, have a size of approximately 63 squaremetres and they offer a king bed.
- The Fifth Avenue Suites are available as a one or two-bedroom suites and have view of Fifth Avenue and Pulitzer Fountain. They feature a spacious living area, connected to a bedroom with full bathroom. As one-bedroom suite it has a size of 65 squaremetres.
- The Central Park Suites have a size of 74 squaremetres and view of Central Park. These suites consist of a full bathroom. These suites are also available in two-bedroom, two-bathroom configuration.
- The Plaza Suites, with views of Central Park or Fifth Avenue, consist of an alcove with a breakfast table for four people and non-working Italian marble fireplace, spacious bedroom and bathroom. These strikingly elegant suites have a unique layout, original artwork and custom-designed furniture. Two or three bedroom combinations are also possible. As one-bedroom suites they have a size of 84 squaremetres.
- The historic Louis XV Suite overlooks Central Park, as well as the fabled Fifth Avenue. This luxurious one or two bedroom suite features a spacious livingroom and a dining room. As one-bedroom suite it has a size of 120 squaremetres.
- The Ambassador Suite, with views of Central Park and Fifth Avenue, includes two bedrooms, each with a bathroom, spacious livingroom, 12-ft. ceilings, original hardwood floors and three non-functional marble fireplaces. The suite's decor is reflective of urban sophistication with oriental influence. The suite to a foyer with an art deco inspired design on the marble floor and a gallery of framed prints and sketches. This suite has a size of 164 squaremetres.
- The Vanderbilt Suite, with view of Fifth Avenue, was named after Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, the first family to sign the register and to become permanent residents of "The Plaza". This suite can include up to three bedrooms along with a living room, dining room and kitchen. It also features a jacuzzi, non-functioning marble fireplace and 12-foot-high ceiling. The Vanderbilt Suite has a size of 262 squaremetres and a king bed in each bedroom.
- The magnificent Astor Suite, with a size of 256 squaremetres and view of Central Park and Fifth Avenue, features a very large living room, dining room for 10 people, full bedroom and bath. If booked as a two bedroom suite, a jacuzzi with a view of Central Park and steam shower is available. It can also be configured as a three bedroom suite.
Cuisine & Cocktails : "The Plaza, New York" offers several restaurants and bars. The Oak Bar and the The Palm Court are premier meeting places that showcase European flair and impeccable service.
- Since 1907, the guests have been seduced by the charming mystique of historic grill room The Oak Room with the atmosphere of a private club. Its sable oak walls with fluted columns and turn-of-the-century murals add refinement and elegance. The original mosaic floor has currently been restored in this magnificent Baroque room.
- The Palm Court was modeled after the winter garden in London's Hotel Carlton and is long recognized as one of the premier meeting places in New York. The Palm Court serves breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinner, and Sunday brunch.
- Overlooking Central Park, the Oak Bar, serves drinks to leading New York celebrities, business people and travelers, seven days a week. The wines by the glass, fine martinis and upscale cigars create one of the best bar in New York.
- The Oyster Bar recalls the warm hospitality of an English pub, with etched glass windows and Edwardian-era murals. Its three-sided, copper bar is a place to dine and drink.for lunch and dinner, serving the freshest seafood specialties, the Oyster Bar offers an exciting menu to please all palates.
- One CPS is an old-fashioned trendy restaurant,and airy atmosphere with modern and antique touches. The menu is casual but features new interpretations of old dishes, as well as an interesting mix of casual American cuisine.
