The Grand Hotel Miramare is located in Santa Margherita ligur e between Rapallo and Portofino. The town of Rapallo has ancient origins. The first news about it can be dated back to 1240. In that period Rapallo was a Medieval village surrounded by town walls with five gates. Today Rapallo is an important seaside resort and has some small shipyards and maritime engines factories.
