The five-star deluxe resort with unusual architecture is situated on the 1,5 kilometre long and white sandy Bay of Datai, one of the finest bays on Langkawi in the North of the Island.
The Datai offers an idyllic retreat to nature in the depths of a centuries-old virgin rain forest. The resort comprises a central hotel and freestandingvillas in the forest.air covered walkways and meandering paths connect the various areas. Red balau timber, black granite and white marble are used to clean-lined eclectic effect - resulting in sleek but not sterile design. A truly sophisticated escape.
The Datai offers 98 guestrooms and 12 suites. The guestrooms are located partly in the mainbuilding and partly in the villas amidst tropical greenery. Some rooms in the villas have a private pool. All guestrooms and suites are elegantly and luxuriously furnished and offers private balconies or terraces, bathrobes, hairdryer, TV, telephone, minibar, coffee / tea facilities.
Dining: Elevated in the rain forest The Pavilion serves authentic Thai cuisine in anair setting. Malaysian and international fare are presented in The Dining Room. Alfresco dining at the Beach Club. Cocktails, snacks and panoramic views of the Andaman Sea in the Lobby Lounge.
Sports and Wellness: Two swimming pools, two tennis courts, a health club with gymnasium, sauna, plunge bath and juice bar.
