The Palm Beach Inn, originally constructed in 1896 by Henry Morrison Flagler, was destroyed by fire in 1903. Rebuilt in 1904 as The Breakers, it was again damaged by fire in 1925. The Breakers, as it is known today, red its doors on December 29, 1926, rebuilt in a record breaking 11½ months at a cost of seven million dollars.

Guestrooms & Suites : "The Breakers" offers 503 guestroom and 57 suites. All rooms and suites feature air conditioning, writing desk, TV, dual telephone lines with dataport, high-speed internet access, iron and ironing board, safe, minibar and bathroom with hairdryer, toiletries, make-up mirror and bathrobes.

The Premium Deluxe Rooms have a size of 37 squaremetres and they are equipped with a king-size bed or two double beds. These rooms offer resort view.
The Premium Full Oceanfront Rooms have a size of 37 squaremetres and they are equipped with a king-size bed or two double beds and these rooms feature a step-out balcony with full ocean view.
The Flagler Club Islandview Rooms are located on the sixth or seventh floors of the hotel and guests enjoy the Flagler Club service. These rooms are equipped with a king-size bed or two double beds and they offer view of the island.
