The five-star Hotel Sacher Salzburg "Oesterreichischer Hof" was taken over by the Gürtler family in 1988 and has since been the ideal counterpart to Hotel Sacher Wien. At only a few minutes’ walking distance from the Festival Halls the completely renovated Hotel offers state-of-the-art comfort paired with tradition. Accommodation features: Many of the 120 rooms and suites have been renovated and given a new design in the course of the past few years. The rooms are furnished in a highly personal and individual fashion and feature antiquities and precious original paintings, marble bathrooms and the interior has been adapted to the historical style. Different room categories and suites in various sizes and combination variants will certainly fulfil your every expectation. All rooms and suites are equipped with toilet and bath/shower, bathrobe, satellite TV, telephone and modem, internet access, minibar, safe and air-conditioning.
- With a size of 25 squaremeters the single rooms offer all the amenities for single travellers.
- Starting from 30 squaremeters the double rooms offer luxurious comfort one may expect from a five-star hotel. These individually furnished rooms are also available with balconies and a magnificent view of the Fortress Hohensalzburg and along the Salzach. All rooms feature friendly light marble bathrooms.
- With a size of 45 to 50 squaremeters the junior suites are very spacious and particularly elegantly decorated. In this category the hotel guarantees a view of the Salzach.
- All the luxurious suites feature a separate living room and bedroom and they have a size from 75 to 90 squaremeters.
Dining: The Restaurant Roter Salon, furnished in elegant Biedermeier style, is located on Salzachpromenade with a magnificent view of the spires of the Old Town and serves regional and international specialities and offers an exquisite breakfast buffet.
The cosy Gourmet-Restaurant Zirbelzimmer with terrace represents Old Salzburg style in the true sense of the word. The "Zirbelzimmer" restaurant with its wood panelled ceiling has been preserved in its original state since its foundation and is a popular meeting place for everyone who wants to enjoy the comfortable atmosphere of the restaurant combined with its excellent meals.
The Salzachgrill, with a magnificent terrace along the Salzach bank is the counterpart to the hotel restaurants with a separate grill and specialities from a wood burning oven.
The Café Sacher Salzburg, with its terrace along the Salzach, is a typically Austrian coffee-house serving home-made pastries and sweets such as the well-known Salzburger Nockerl and the legendary Sacher Torte as well as cold and warm snacks.
The Piano Bar is the perfect meeting place to tune in for an evening with friends or business partners over a cocktail to the sound of piano music or for a few quiet hours late at night.
