The fine Dorset Square Hotel is a perfectly restored Regency townhouse occupying the prime position in one of London's best known historic garden squares. It overlooks a tree filled garden which is the original site of Thomas Lord's cricket ground.

The hotel is ideally located within easy reach of Mayfair shopping, the Westend theatres, the City's financial centre and just a short walk to Regent's Park and the buzzy Marylebone High Street. Heathrow is just 40 minutes by cab and the new Paddington-Heathrow Rail Link is close by.
In 1787, Thomas Lord chose Dorset Square to lay down a cricket ground which, in 1814, moved a mile north to what is now known as Lords Cricket Ground. Dorset Square Hotel is one of the regency buildings surrounding the tree-filled gardens that would have had a grandstand view of the game in those days. Everything about the hotel is individual.
The drawing room at the Dorset Square Hotel looks out on to the garden square and is the perfect room for guests to relax, unwind and entertain. There is anfireplace and honour bar as well as comfortable sofas and chairs, fresh flowers and original oil paintings.
Room Amenities : The rooms are decorated in the grand English country house style with antiques and original art. Bathrooms are a modern yet traditional mix of marble and mahogany. The first floor bedrooms have balconies and beautiful views overlooking the square. There are 37 bedrooms and 1 suite, each
individually designed and perfectly appointed
with modern comforts such as air conditioning.
Each is equipped with a 2 line telephone,
modem point, voice mail, personal safe, fully
stocked mini bar, hairdryer and terry cloth
robes. Bathrooms are beautifully designed in
granite and mahogany with large tubs,
American standard showers and heated towel
rails. VCR's and fax machines can be
installed on request.
Dining : The Potting Shed restaurant and bar offers marvellous food and wine. «The Potting Shed» looks just as you would
imagine - mountains of terracotta pots and
seed boxes across one wall, seagrass matting
on the floor, walls painted to resemble fence
panelling and tables adorned with tiny colourful
pots. The restaurant serves excellent modern
British cuisine and has an extensive selection
of wines and champagnes. The bar is a meeting
place for hotel residents and locals and on
several weeknights there is live jazz. Residents lounge -24 hours with help yourself honesty bar - Guests make their own drinks and sign a book with details.
