The Residenz Heinz Winkler was previously named Hotel Post. In 1989, master chef Heinz Winkler purchased the premises, which were built in the late Middle Ages, and transformed them into today's modern, yet traditional Residenz.
Residenz Heinz Winkler, Kirchplatz 1, D183229 Aschau, Deutschland. The region south of Bavarian capital Munich is a holiday paradise throughout the year: sailing on Lake Chiemsee, skiing on the famous world-cup run Streif or om the Kampenwand mountain, and the festivals in Salzburg and Munich. Accommodation Features: The present resort consists of 18 comfortable guestrooms and 14 luxurious suites, some with balconies, terraces and garden. Dining :Heinz Winkler tastefully renovated the previous Hotel Post with style. He not only attends to his guests while they are dining but also sees to their all-round well-being. The restaurant has nothing in common with other ornate and oppressing gourmet temples. It is bright and warm and friendly. - The pièce de résistance at the Residenz is the Venetian Restaurant, its iridescent ambience sets the stage for culinary art appreciation.
- A change of scenery and color but the same bright, light feeling is felt in the Garden Salon. Here, the warm champagne colors, the bouquets of lilies and amaryllis and the decorative wall paintings lend special charm to the room.
- The old Poststube presents a lovely contrast to the other bright, light rooms of the Residenz. This room is reminiscent of the old tavern that was built here in 1405. It is decorated in traditional white and blue and exudes a more earthy, natural atmosphere. The room is surrounded in a rustic peace that seems to warm the soul; this is true Bavarian Gemütlichkeit.
- The Mozartstüberl with the cross vault in the oldest part of the main building imparts a feeling of strength and tranquility known in medieval construction.
And in summer beautifal terrace facing towards the imposing Alps. The wine cellar has a capacity for about 25,000 bottles.
