The ambience of the Gasthof Post has grown over many years. A large, impressive farmhouse with thick walls has become a small luxury hotel and by maintaining its original charm has remained a 'guest-house' in more than just name. This hotel's antique furniture endows each room with a unique character.
Accommodation Features : The famous Gasthof Post lech offers 39 rooms which are divided into seven categories. No two rooms are the same and guests will not find rooms like this anywhere else in the world. Cosy and stylishly furnished with antique Alpine country furnishings and timelessly elegant bathrooms with handpainted tiles made in the Netherlands to the hotel´s own design. All rooms at Gasthof Post Lech do have one thing in common - the of traditional detail perfected through unobtrusive state-of-the-art technology. And if guests put their shoes outside the room´s door at night, they will find them there the next morning cleaned and beautifully polished.
The single rooms are all unique: between 18 and 25 sqms, all with bath or shower and WC, lovingly furnished with easy chairs and coffee table.
Here guests may make themselfes comfortable in rooms 26 to 34 sqms in size, with a cosy sitting area, double bed or maybe on the balcony. All these rooms are offering bathrooms with tub and WC.
The Jäger Rooms (Hunter Rooms) are furnished completely in the old hunting tradition of the Gasthof Post Lech, 35 sqms, homely living/bedroom with double bed and sitting area, some with tiled stove and balcony. Of course also these rooms have their own bathroom with tub and WC.
The Postillion Apartments (Stagecoach Driver´s apartment) are spacious living/bedrooms of 40 sqms with double bed and a lovely sitting area, some withtiled stove orfireplace and a walk-in wardrobe. The bathrooms all are equipped with tub and WC, some offering additionally bidet and/or shower with steam bath.
The Postmeister apartments (Postmaster´s Apartment) of approx. 50 sqms offer eather separate living room and bed room or a combined living room with large bedarea, which can be visually partioned off. These rooms are real apartments in the hotel´s style , with tiled stove orfireplace. The large double bed, the luxurious bathrooms with tuib and WC, some also with shower and steam bath make these into a cosy holiday home away from home.
The Herzog Suites (Duke´s Suites) - here guests have even more space for their holiday dreams: bedroom with large double bed, separated living room withfireplace or tiled stove, elegant bathroom with WC, tub and shower with steam bath. Complete 55sqms of pure luxury including VCR.
The Fürsten Suite (Prince´s Suite) - a truly princely 60 to 80 sqms with large double bed and separate living room or at least visually prtitioned off living area. Some of these suites are equipped withfireplace or tiled stoves, others are offering their own terraces and all of them boast not only the Sat-TV (which you will find of course in all guestrooms) but also VCR. Once again the bathrooms are equipped with tub, WC and shower with steam bath.
Dining : The Gasthof Post Lech´s cuisine has been awarded two Gault-Millau creszs. The destinguisged kitchen has twenty employees and is led by a chef Christian Gölles. He is particulary committed to cultivating and maintaining traditional Austrian cuisine. With themed evenings such as Viennese Buffets, the numerous specialities from »Tafelspitz« (a traditional beef dish) to »Kalbs-Beuscherl« (a veal offal dish), or perhaps with an Italian Buffet the menu will be always exquisitely varied. The Post ´s home made cakes and pastries -which Austria is famous for- give a sweet finishing touch to the culinary experience.
Visit the Hotel Gasthof Post Lech´s four restaurants and give your taste-buds a real treat - at the »Post-Cafá« for lunch, for »Kaffee und Kuchen« with the chef´s famous home-made strudels in the»Eom Lounge« or in the truly cosy ambience of the 300 years old »Jäger Lounge« (hunter´s lounge) which always will be reserved for the non smoking guests.
